Position Overview

Directly strengthen learning outcomes at an organization nationally recognized for transforming the lives of children with autism through evidence-based, person-centered education. The Special Education Technology Teacher enhances ABA-based classroom learning by integrating high-impact educational technology tools that support communication, academic, and behavioral growth for students with autism and developmental disabilities. This role strengthens curriculum delivery, develops staff capacity, and ensures technology is implemented in ways that directly support student success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Instructional Technology Integration:
    Embed technology seamlessly into curriculum and ABA-based instruction, providing occasional direct instruction to support tech-based learning.
  • Staff Training &

    Coaching:

    Train and coach teachers on effective instructional technology practices, partnering with the Education Director and Curriculum Specialist to align tools with instructional goals.
  • Systems Coordination & Troubleshooting:
    Collaborate with IT to select, maintain, and troubleshoot hardware and software, ensuring reliable access to devices and educational platforms.
  • Program Quality & Innovation:
    Stay current on emerging EdTech to enhance instruction and student engagement, supporting the development of student-specific technology goals when appropriate.
  • Student Support & Safety:
    Work with students across the autism spectrum, including those with significant behavioral needs, implementing Safety-Care procedures as trained.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Special Education, Educational Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience supporting students with autism or developmental disabilities, with strong instructional support, coaching, and technology skills.

Compensation

Salary $63,000.00 – $68,000.00
