SierTeK Ltd. is seeking a Lead Supply Technician (Day Shift) to support an opportunity at Randolph AFB, TX.

Position Overview Section

The Lead Supply Technician provides comprehensive logistics, supply chain, and material handling support to aircraft maintenance operations. The employee ensures efficient ordering, receiving, storage, and issuance of aircraft parts and bench stock to meet mission requirements. This position supports maintenance production activities by maintaining accurate inventory levels, coordinating with supply systems, and ensuring timely delivery of required materials.

Essential Job Functions Material Handling & Inventory Management
  • Order, receive, store, issue, and transport aircraft parts, tools, and bench stock.

  • Conduct regular inventories and maintain accurate records of stored materials.

  • Determine stock levels for recurring and specialized items based on usage, project demands, and operational requirements.

  • Use authorized Air Force material ordering systems to order, track, and manage common and specialized items used on military weapon systems.

Maintenance Support & Customer Service
  • Provide material research, order placement, and handling support to designated maintenance shops.

  • Maintain adequate on‑hand stock levels to meet production needs; ensure timely replenishment of bench stocks.

  • Record issued items and quantities in written or electronic logs.

  • Research and analyze Bench Stock Levels (BSLs), recommend adjustments to optimize stock accuracy and efficiency.

Specialized Support Activities
  • Deliver and pick up materials at depot supply points and outlying locations as needed.

  • Inspect and operate general and special‑purpose vehicles, including forklifts; document inspections using AF Form 1800.

  • Perform manual lifting of up to 50 pounds.

  • Provide material management support for repair, overhaul, manufacture, and/or modification of specialized equipment and parts.

Coordination & Communication
  • Respond to unique or urgent material requests requiring additional data verification or expedited procurement.

  • Ensure all item data (e.g., part numbers, pricing, and stock codes) is accurate and complete.

  • Coordinate material delivery dates and provide customers with order status updates.

  • Manage back orders, cancellations, and repairable turn‑ins to maintain supply chain integrity.

  • Review and process excess materials for credit return.

  • Serve as a material management representative on the Tail Team/Integrated Product Team (IPT).

  • Support the Awaiting Parts Program (AWP) and participate in Rapid Improvement Events and Art of the Possible (AoP) initiatives.

Qualifications Minimum Position Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • Experience:

    • Working knowledge of supply systems, inventory control processes, and Air Force logistics operations.

    • Familiarity with applicable supply chain policies, manuals, and work methods.

  • Skills:

    • Basic computer proficiency and ability to use supply and tracking systems.

    • Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.

  • Physical Requirements:

    • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

    • Operate forklifts and general/special‑purpose vehicles safely.
