Customer Service Associate - Temporary
Walgreens
Base pay range: $16.00/hr - $18.00/hr
Responsibilities- Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
- Register sales on assigned cash register, provide customers with courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient checkout service.
- Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services; resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive experience.
- Share customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
- Recommend items for sale to customers and suggest trade‑up or companion items.
- Collect cash and distribute change; process voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges as needed.
- Keep counters and shelves clean and well merchandised; take inventory and maintain records; check in and price merchandise as required.
- Implement company asset protection procedures to identify and minimize profit loss.
- Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products (e.g., alcoholic beverages and tobacco).
- Construct and maintain displays, including promotional, seasonal, super structures, and sales merchandise; complete resets and revisions as directed.
- Assist with separation of food items and product placement per policy; assist with stock rotation using FIFO method and restock outs.
- Maintain working knowledge of store systems and equipment.
- Provide customer service in the photo area, including digital passport photo, poster print, and creative machine; suggest sale of promotional photo products.
- Assume web pick‑up responsibilities (monitor orders, pick items, deliver orders as customers arrive).
- Assist with exterior and interior maintenance to ensure clean, neat, orderly store condition.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures; maintain respectful relationships with coworkers.
- Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.
Attend training and complete requested PPLs.
Basic Qualifications- Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English. (Except in Puerto Rico)
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
- Preferred: six months of experience in a retail environment.
- Preferred: prior work experience with Walgreens.
