Camp Counselor

Our counselors are the heart of camp. You’ll lead, inspire, support, and play a major role in shaping a camper’s summer experience.

To be employed as a Camp Counselor at Tamarack Day Camp, you must be available for all 39 days of camp
:
June 29th – August 21st. Monday through Friday | 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM.
No weekends
. If you are unable to commit to the entire camp season, this position will not be the right fit.

• Supervise and engage a group of campers throughout the camp day
• Participate in and help facilitate sports, creative activities, swimming, special events, and theme days
• Serve as a positive role model and mentor to campers
• Help maintain a fun, safe, and inclusive camp environment
• Work collaboratively with fellow counselors and camp leadership

• Transportation to camp may be available from select locations
• Additional paid opportunities may be available, including before care, after care, and specialty roles
• Staff events, training, and a supportive team environment
• Valuable leadership experience and professional skill development

• High school juniors or seniors, college students, or educators
• Reliable, responsible, and enthusiastic individuals
• Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
• A genuine interest in working with children and being part of a team
