Overview
Retail Merchandiser (part-time) – Randolph, NJ 07869. Hallmark Cards is seeking a part-time Retail Merchandiser in Randolph, NJ. This role involves working independently to showcase organization and time management skills, establishing retailer relationships, and representing Hallmark in stores. You will collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement and maintain inventory levels, and support fellow team members with seasonal resets and installations.
Occasionally you may work with products from other companies in the stores you service.
Starting pay: $16.55 to $16.65 per hour, depending on skills and experience. This is a part-time position with a variable schedule during the work week. Average weekly hours are 10–13 hours. Availability during the week before and after major holidays (which may include weekends) is required.
Responsibilities- Day-to-day engagement:
Use a Hallmark-provided mobile device to restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark product inventory within and outside the Hallmark department. Utilize technology for daily work, supervisor communication, time reporting, surveys, and merchandising activities. Maintain professional interactions with store employees, management, and customers. Responsible for the entire Hallmark product display at assigned stores. - Holiday support:
Expect additional days and extended hours around seasonal demand (Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas). May be required to work on actual holidays and weekends. - Department resets:
Participate in installations, building and installing fixtures, relocating card departments and products, and resetting card sections. Often notified two weeks in advance for remodels, which could include evenings or weekends. - One Team Vision:
Work as part of Hallmark’s field network of merchandisers, supporting other team members in their territories when needed.
This is a physically demanding role requiring energy and urgency. You will work on the selling floor and in back stockrooms. You must be able to push, pull, lift, and carry cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures up to 30 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally. Kneeling, squatting, walking, standing, and possibly climbing stairs or ladders are required.
Basic Qualifications- You're at least 18 years of age.
- You're able to read, write, and understand English.
- Ability to grasp, pull, lift, and carry products up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to operate a digital hand-held device to open and read documents and interpret information.
- Access to a Wi‑Fi network and the internet.
- Access to consistent transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
