Looking for the best summer job you’ll ever have? At Tamarack Day Camp, being a lifeguard is more than a job—it’s an opportunity to play a vital role in keeping campers safe while being part of an energetic, supportive camp community.

Our lifeguards are essential members of the Tamarack team. You’ll help ensure a safe, fun, and well‑supervised aquatic environment while building responsibility, leadership, and lifesaving skills that last a lifetime.

Required Commitment

To be employed as a Lifeguard at Tamarack Day Camp, you must be available for all 39 days of camp:
June 29th – August 21st. Monday through Friday | 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM. No weekends. If you are unable to commit to the entire camp season, this position will not be the right fit.

Position Responsibilities
  • Maintain constant supervision of swimmers during all pool activities
  • Enforce pool rules and safety procedures at all times
  • Respond quickly and effectively to emergencies
  • Assist with swim instruction and water‑based activities as needed
  • Work collaboratively with the pool director and camp leadership
  • Serve as a positive role model to campers and staff
Certification Provided
  • Lifeguard certification will be provided by Tamarack Day Camp upon being hired
  • Training includes CPR, First Aid, and all required lifeguarding skills
  • Candidates MUST be willing and able to successfully complete certification prior to the start of camp
