Head of Oracle Technologies at Next Ventures Overview

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Oracle Cloud ERP and Database Expert for a long-term 3-year remote assignment
. This role requires deep expertise across Oracle technologies, cloud platforms, and database administration, with a strong technical background supporting enterprise environments. The position is primarily remote, with occasional travel to Montreal, Canada.

FRENCH AND ENGLISH speaking skills needed

• Provide expert-level support and guidance across Oracle databases
  , Oracle Cloud EPM
  , and Oracle Cloud Cost Management
  .
• Lead or contribute to the design, deployment, optimization, and maintenance of Oracle Cloud and on-premise database solutions.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting, performance tuning, and system diagnostics.
• Collaborate with cross-functional IT and business teams across different time zones.
• Develop, maintain, and optimize scripts (Linux shell or other scripting languages) to automate operational tasks.
• Ensure system reliability, security, and compliance with enterprise standards.
• Participate in reviews, documentation, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
• Support the client’s technical roadmap and contribute to long-term architecture planning.

• 15+ years of experience working with Oracle technologies, including databases and cloud platforms.
• Strong expertise in Oracle Cloud EPM and Oracle Cloud Cost Management
  .
• Proven experience in Oracle database administration, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
• Strong knowledge of Linux OS and scripting (e.g., Bash, Shell).
• Bilingual or strong proficiency in English (French can be added if needed).
• Ability to work remotely while maintaining alignment with Montreal business hours (time-shifted schedule).
• Willingness to travel occasionally to Montreal
• Strong communication skills, autonomy, and ability to collaborate in a distributed environment.
