Underthedirectionofthe Director of Special Education and Building Principal ,theVisual Impaired Itinerant Teacherprovidesdiagnostic ,instructional,andconsultativeservicestostudentsages3-21withanidentifiedvisualimpairment.

• Developandmaintainrapportandinterpersonalrelationswithstudents,teachers,parents,administrators,andotherschoolpersonnel.
• Maintain professional appearance and poise.
• Demonstrateabilitytoworkeffectivelyaspart ofateam.
• Be accessible to teachers, administrators, and parents
• Demonstrateabilitytorespectdifferingopinions,acceptconstructivecriticism,andhandleconflict.

• Trainteachersonneededclassroommodifications,andhowtoutilizeadaptedmaterialsandequipment.
• Providesupportandassistancewithparenteducationandunderstandingofstudent’svisualproblems
