Position: Assembly Operator A

Job Summary

Assembly Operator assembles, labels, and prepares parts for shipping.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Duties/Responsibilities
  • Assemble and label parts.
  • Prepare parts for venting.
  • Assemble brackets.
  • Deburr and deflash parts.
  • Package and prepare orders for shipping.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra.
  • Ability to read and follow work instructions, bill of materials, and assembly drawings.
  • Ability to use small electric tools such as drills, nut drivers, and cutters.
  • Ability to read tape measures.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail.
Education and Experience

A high school diploma or GED is preferred.

Up to one year of related experience and/or training.

  • Regularly required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.

  • Frequently lifts and/or moves up to 35 pounds; occasionally lifts and/or moves 35-50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close and distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment

The work environment characteristics described are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential job functions.

  • Employee regularly works near moving, vibrating mechanical equipment, occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, and exposed to minimal risk of electrical shock.
  • Noise level usually loud; hearing protection and testing required. PPE required.
  • Safety shoes/boots are required.
  • Working in the Fab department may require employee to occasionally work around chemicals as defined in the work instruction for the plating operation area.
