Medication Aide, Certified, Long Term Care (LTC)

Facility: GSS SD Rapid City Echo Ridge

Location: Rapid City, SD

Shift: 12 Hours - Night Shifts

Varies

Provides care and services such as medication administration, activities of daily living assistance, and other duties in a caring, safe, and efficient manner.

• Assists residents with medication self‑administration and, if trained, with proper administration.
• Maintains residents appearance, bathing, toileting, dressing, and transfers.
• Obtains vital signs accurately and reports changes in resident health status.
• Adheres to OSHA, CDC, and SDS guidelines for infection control and chemical use.
• Prepares and serves nutritious meals and snacks following orders.
• Lathers soiled linen and cleans rooms, bathrooms, and public areas.
• Participates in community involvement and works with volunteers.

• High School Diploma or GED (required based on state).
• Minimum state age requirement for facilities using lifts.
• Completion and maintenance of assigned medication administration training per state guidelines.
