Senior In-House Litigation Attorney
Epic is looking for an experienced attorney to join our legal team in Madison, WI. This role focuses on managing complex litigation and providing counsel on regulatory, competition, healthcare law, and other risk areas.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the defense of the company in high‑stakes litigation, including multi‑million dollar disputes.
- Provide proactive counseling to minimize risk in areas such as regulatory compliance, competition, and healthcare law.
- Represent Epic in all stages of civil litigation, from drafting motions and briefs to oral arguments and trial.
- Develop and maintain relationships with outside counsel, vendors, and industry partners.
- Advise business leaders on potential legal risks as the company expands into new markets.
Qualifications:
- JD with significant litigation experience, including counseling on risk mitigation, drafting motions and briefs, taking depositions, conducting oral arguments, leading settlement negotiations, and trying cases.
- Strong academic and professional background.
- Experience in competition and regulatory litigation is a plus.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, combined with an analytical mindset.
- Detail‑oriented and able to thrive in a fast‑changing environment.
Additional Requirements:
- Relocation to Madison, WI required; relocation assistance will be fully reimbursed.
- COVID‑19 vaccination is required.
