Wausau Supply Company Utility Operator is responsible for finishing tasks for the entire production process and ensuring efficiency throughout the lines. The role requires awareness of all production goals, quality control, and establishment of high workmanship standards. Effective communication and positive relations across all organizational levels are essential.
Duties- Use working knowledge of manufacturing to maximize efficiency.
- Train and assist others in all Diamond Kote manufacturing machines, systems, and processes, gaining functional expertise in all aspects of plant operation.
- Perform operator functions as needed.
- Perform material handling functions as required.
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment when applicable.
- Identify and correct products that do not meet quality standards.
- Lead in all aspects of safety, including safety guidelines, reporting practices, and processes.
- Use computer software and ERP systems to perform job tracking and inventory functions.
- Perform supervisory duties in the absence of the Team Leader.
- Effective oral and written communication.
- Analytical problem‑solving to eliminate obstacles.
- Ability to manage multiple demands with solid communication.
- Independent work combined with leadership and teamwork.
- Maintenance of positive morale within the workforce.
- High school diploma.
- Ability to lift 50‑75 pounds without assistance.
- Work schedule:
4 days per week, 12‑hour shifts. - Standing for the duration of shifts.
- Availability for after‑hours shifts or additional shifts as business demands require.
