Garment Sorter Team Member

Process garments by sorting and scanning them.

• Inspect garments.
• Responsible for ensuring all repairs, replacements, and missing chips are done accurately and according to department specifications.
• Ensure conveyors and rails are running smoothly.
• Maintain an order of garments being processed to ensure batches are not mixed.
• Ensure NOG (not our goods) products are processed and returned to customer by communicating with Department Supervisor.
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation.
• Ensure quality of product and meet daily production quantity goals.
• Work in other areas of department as necessary.

• Training period of 2-4 weeks to become familiar with specifications for hanging, pieces processed, company standards, and to attain department routine for normal efficiency.
• Must be able to stand all day with gross hand and arm motions.
• Repetitive grasping of hands.
• Lifting and carrying of product up to 22lbs occasionally.
• Also twisting, bending, turning, and walking.
• Must be able to assist Supervisor in improving a system of production control, standard operating procedures, safety, and quality control.
• Repetitive work.
• Ability to read and write English.

• Some sewing experience.
• Ability to balance and achieve positive results in the areas of safety, quality, and productivity.
• Interpersonal and communication skills.
• Team player.

• Inside typical plant environment- can be hot and humid; must be aware of safety protocols and avoiding injury from burns from hot steam and press, bumping head from low rails, and to hands from moving machinery.

• General work hours are Monday through Friday.
