Unit Overview

• 10 L&D beds | 4 OB ED/Triage | 4 Antepartum rooms | 2 ORs
• Mother/Baby: 20 beds (couplet care, rooming-in encouraged)
• EPIC charting

Experience

• 2+ years L&D or
  Postpartum/GYN
• First-time travelers accepted
• Must be comfortable with high-risk OB and couplet care

Patient Population

• High- & low-risk OB, antepartum, OB triage, postpartum, infants
• Preeclampsia, HTN, magnesium drips, insulin gtts
• Occasional GYN surgical patients (hysterectomy, ovarian cysts)

Ratios

• Antepartum 1:3
• Inactive labor 1:2 | Active labor 1:1
• Postpartum 1:3 couplets (up to 1:4 if needed)
• NICU feeder/growers 1:3 | Peds up to 1:5

Skills & Certs

• Required: BLS, NRP
• Preferred (if L&D): ACLS, EFM, inpatient OB/antepartum
• C-section circulation/recovery, cervical checks
• IV starts, phlebotomy, blood admin, magnesium
• Nursery experience a plus (bilirubin, NAS, late preterm, glucose checks)

Floating

• Expected to float as needed (L&D, NICU, Peds, PICU)

Schedule

• 12s | Days & Nights (0630–1830 / 1830–0630)
• Mostly nights currently needed
• Every other weekend (may be less)
• No call | Holidays as needed
