The major focus of school nursing services is the prevention of illness and disability, and the early detection and correction of health problems by implementing health screenings and providing health education.
The School Nurse works collaboratively with the Health Services and Education team to develop individualized health care plans (IHP) and emergency action plans (EAP) to consistently align with safe practices, program procedures, and district policy.
