Outpatient Oncology Infusion RN – Job Requirements

  Minimum 1.5 years of RN experience, including at least 1 year of current outpatient oncology infusion experience.

  Must have completed at least two 13-week travel assignments. First-time travelers are not accepted.
• Epic: 1+ year of recent Ambulatory Epic experience REQUIRED. Candidates without this experience will be declined.
• Certifications:
  
  BLS and ONS Chemotherapy Certification required; OCN preferred.
• RN License:
  South Dakota RN license or qualifying compact multistate license.
• Radius Rule:
  Must live more than 100 miles from the facility.
• Former Employees:
  Must be separated from permanent employment for at least 1 year.

• Broad outpatient oncology experience with solid tumors, breast, gynecologic, and hematologic cancers.
• Chemotherapy administration, infusion monitoring, reaction management, and patient education.
• Experience with chart reviews, medication reconciliation, assessments, and symptom management.
• Ability to independently assign patients and manage infusion schedules.
• BMT-only or highly specialized oncology experience is not sufficient.

The manager specifically requests details about experience with:

• R-CHOP
• FOLFOX/FOLFIRINOX, including type of 5-FU pump used
• Pertuzumab, trastuzumab, datopotamab deruxtecan
• Carboplatin
• Daratumumab Faspro
• Blinatumomab and talquetamab

Candidates should also describe their comfort with new-patient education, chemotherapy precautions, home care, and treatment-related side-effect management.

Holidays-No major holidays; minor holidays as needed

Orientation-Typically 3–5 departmental days plus facility orientation

• No current outpatient oncology infusion experience.
• Less than 1 year of recent Ambulatory Epic experience.
• Fewer than two completed 13-week travel assignments.
• Missing ONS Chemotherapy Certification or BLS.
• Oncology experience limited to BMT or another narrow specialty.
• Residence within 100 miles of the facility.
