Overview
Black Hills Truck & Trailer is looking for a Diesel Mechanic. Position is open for Day Shift (7:30 a.m.
- 4:30 p.m.).

Must have own tools. Advanced training preferred but not required.
ResponsibilitiesIdentify problems and malfunctions in equipment or systems using diagnostic tools and technical knowledge to pinpoint root causes.
Perform repairs, replacements, and maintenance tasks to restore equipment, including component replacement, software updates, adjustments, and calibration.
Communicate with customers to understand issues and provide updates on repair status; strong customer service is essential.
Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance schedules, parts used, and related information.
Perform scheduled preventive maintenance to prevent issues and extend equipment lifespan.
Provide training and support to customers on proper use and maintenance as needed.
Follow safety guidelines to ensure personal and others’ safety when working on equipment.
Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs occasionally.
Engage in available training programs.
Service technicians may specialize in automotive, IT, medical equipment, industrial equipment, HVAC, or telecommunications sectors.
- Experience or ability to diagnose and repair diesel equipment and related systems.
- Own tools required; willingness to participate in training programs.
