MEP-Electrical Engineering Design- MEP Engineering
An excellent multi-disciplinary MEP engineering firm in the local area is actively seeking to add an experienced Electrical Engineer to be an integral part of the design team, in a full-time permanent staff capacity. This role will design and develop electrical systems for MEP projects, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low voltage systems. Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary staff, clients, contractors, and vendors to bring diverse project designs to life.

Responsibilities:
- Design and develop electrical systems for MEP projects, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low voltage systems
- Design layouts, equipment sizing and selection, performing calculations etc.
- Develop electrical design plans and schematics for commercial projects, ensuring compliance with all local, state, and national code regulations
- Conducted load calculations to optimize system performance to layout single line diagrams and organize power system architecture based on NEC and IBC requirements
- Integrate electrical systems into multi-disciplinary designs
- Prepare and review technical documentation including specifications, shop drawings, submittals, and RFIs improving workflow through the construction administration phases
- Communicate with clients, contractors, and other project team members as needed to support project design
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE)
- ~Five (5) or more years of related engineering experience
- EIT desired-Professional Engineer (PE) license a plus
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, and Word
