Lab Assistant – Per Diem

Labcorp welcomes applicants for the Lab Assistant – Per Diem position at our Raritan, NJ location. This role operates in a high-volume, production-based clinical laboratory environment.

Pay Range: $17.75–$20/hr.
Work Schedule: Per diem, Tuesday to Saturday, 3:00 pm–11:30 pm (up to 20 hours/week).

• Receive and sort clinical laboratory specimens
• Prepare specimens for testing and analysis
• Scan and perform data entry of specimen and patient information
• Ensure laboratory equipment is functioning and perform minor maintenance
• Troubleshoot specimen-related issues
• Replenish bench supplies as needed
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Complete record logs and other administrative tasks as requested
• Follow all standard operating procedures to ensure safety and quality

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous medical/lab or production experience preferred
• Comfortability with handling biological specimens
• Ability to accurately identify specimens
• Basic computer and data entry skills
• High level of attention to detail with ability to prioritize and multitask
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment and meet established turnaround times
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods
• Must pass a standardized color blindness test
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
