Job Description:
Pay Range: $60hr – $65hr
- The AWS Architect will design and implement cloud architectures, lead modernization initiatives, define best practices for AWS environments, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing cloud solutions.
Requirement/Must Have:
- Bachelor s or master s degree in computer science, information technology, or related field.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional preferred.
- Experience in leading cloud architecture initiatives in mid or large enterprises.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Team leadership and mentoring capability.
- Ability to balance technical depth with business needs.
Experience:
- 8 10 years of overall IT experience.
- Hands-on experience in AWS architecture, solution design, and cloud-native applications.
- Experience with microservices, serverless architectures, and event-driven systems.
- Experience with IaC tools such as Terraform or Cloud Formation.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Git Hub Actions, Jenkins, or AWS Code Pipeline.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration including Docker, ECS, EKS, or Fargate.
- Experience with monitoring tools such as Cloud Watch, Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK/Open Search.
- Experience securing AWS environments using IAM, KMS, and related tools.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement end-to-end cloud architectures using AWS services.
- Lead cloud migration and modernization projects.
- Define architecture blueprints, landing zones, and reference models.
- Ensure compliance with security, IAM, and governance standards.
- Optimize infrastructure for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
- Collaborate with developers, Dev Ops, and product teams to design microservices and event-driven architectures.
- Establish and enforce CI/CD pipelines and IaC standards.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams.
- Define and monitor SLAs, resiliency strategies, and observability frameworks.
- Work with business stakeholders to align architecture decisions with strategic goals.
Should Have:
- Awareness of compliance standards such as ISO, SOC2, or GDPR.
Skills:
- Proficiency with core AWS services such as EC2, ECS, EKS, Lambda, API Gateway, S3, Cloud Front, RDS, Dynamo
DB, SNS/SQS, Step Functions, Cloud Watch, Cloud Trail, IAM, KMS, Secrets Manager, and others. - Strong knowledge of networking including VPC design, Transit Gateway, Route 53, VPN, and Direct Connect.
- Strong understanding of multi-AZ and multi-region high-availability and disaster recovery strategies.
- Experience with AWS Organizations, Control Tower, and Security Hub.
- Familiarity with Kafka, Open Search, or similar technologies.
Qualification And
Education:
- Bachelor s or master s degree in computer science, information technology, or related field.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional preferred.
- Additional AWS certifications in Dev Ops or Security are an advantage.
