Job Summary
Provide SAP BDC platform administration architecture guidance and sizing recommendations.
Key Responsibilities- Assess, allocate, monitor, and optimize SAP Capacity Units (CUs) consumption.
- Create and manage BDC formations, tenants, resource groups, and platform services.
- Define and maintain platform naming standards, governance standards, and operational procedures.
- Create and administer Datasphere spaces, storage, memory quotas, and workload priorities.
- Configure and manage users, groups, custom roles, scoped roles, and RBAC models.
- Configure and support SAP IAS, IPS, SAML, OIDC, and Single Sign-On integrations.
- Provision and manage SAP BDC, Datasphere, SAC, and BTP security access.
- Install, configure, monitor, and maintain SAP Data Provisioning (DP) Agents.
- Configure SAP Cloud Connector and source system connectivity for SAP and non‑SAP platforms.
- Register third‑party adapters and maintain JDBC/ODBC drivers and connectivity components.
- Configure and support BDC Connect integrations with Databricks, Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric, and other enterprise platforms.
- Create and manage HANA database users, schemas, technical accounts, and access privileges.
- Configure and administer Cloud Transport Management Service (cTMS) pipelines and deployment activities.
- Monitor platform health, storage performance, task execution, audit logs, and service availability.
- Perform platform housekeeping, log cleanup, storage optimization, patching, and maintenance activities.
- Support SOX, GxP compliance audits, validation activities, and evidence collection.
- Troubleshoot platform connectivity, security, transport, and performance related issues.
- Coordinate firewall whitelisting, network connectivity, and security requirements with infrastructure teams.
- Act as the primary liaison with SAP Support for incidents, product issues, upgrades, and feature requests while providing technical guidance to project teams.
- SAP BDC (3+ years experience)
- Data Sphere knowledge
- SAP BTP knowledge
- 5 years of SAP BTP Datasphere or SAP data platform administration experience.
- Hands‑on experience with SAP BDC, Datasphere, SAC, IAS/IPS, Cloud Connector, cTMS, and HANA Cloud.
- Experience supporting SOX and GxP regulated environments.
- Knowledge of enterprise integrations with Databricks, Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric, and cloud platforms.
- Strong troubleshooting, governance, security, and capacity management skills.
- SAP Certified Technology Associate
- SAP Certified BTP Administrator
- SAP Datasphere Certification
