Polymer Scientist Associate (Contract 12M+) – Raritan, NJ

A leading global medical device company is seeking a Polymer Scientist Associate for a position in Raritan, New Jersey

$32.50/hr - $36.00/hr

• Perform polymer characterization including rheology
  , thermal analysis (DSC, DMA, TGA), and x‑ray diffraction (XRD).
• Operate and maintain laboratory instruments and ensure proper calibration.
• Prepare samples, collect data, and analyze results within required turnaround times.
• Develop and execute test methods and procedures in collaboration with senior scientists.
• Maintain accurate documentation, lab notebooks, and compliance with company procedures.
• Prepare technical reports and interpret analytical data.
• Support lab safety inspections and maintain audit‑ready laboratory spaces.
• Train other personnel on methods when necessary.

• BS degree in Polymer Science, Chemistry, Materials Science, or related field (Advanced degree preferred).
• 1+ year of relevant experience in polymer characterization.
• Hands‑on experience with DSC, DMA, TGA, rheology, and XRD testing.
• Familiarity with method development and GLP/GMP environments is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail, ability to multitask, and excellent communication skills.
