Job Description

We're looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Cost Manager to join our dynamic team in Ras Al-Khaimah, United Arab Emirates. In this pivotal role, you'll take ownership of project cost management, ensuring financial accuracy, transparency, and strategic value delivery across our construction and development initiatives. As a Cost Manager, you'll collaborate with project teams, vendors, and clients to drive cost efficiency while maintaining the highest standards of professional excellence.

  • Develop, review, and present comprehensive project cost estimates, including construction costs, fees, and ancillary expenses, whilst providing value engineering recommendations and risk assessments to clients
  • Manage the vendor prequalification and bid process by assessing proposals, analyzing bids, conducting bid interviews, and making strategic recommendations to support informed client decision-making
  • Establish and maintain cost reporting schedules, preparing detailed cost reports and forecasts that track project budgets and spending patterns, whilst hosting periodic meetings with project teams and vendors to ensure alignment
  • Monitor and control project costs by reviewing payment applications, liaising with project managers on contractor entitlements, evaluating change order requests, and implementing dispute prevention and resolution procedures, whilst maintaining commercial risk registers to identify and mitigate cost exposures
  • Utilize cost estimating software, take-off software, bid analysis sheets, and change control forms to streamline processes and enhance accuracy
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering, or a related construction field
  • Minimum 4years of professional experience in a cost management role within the construction industry
  • Proven experience supporting cost management on medium to large-sized construction projects
  • Strong proficiency with cost estimating software, take-off software, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Comprehensive knowledge of construction industry technical matters, including procurement routes, value management, and value engineering
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to articulate complex financial information to diverse stakeholders
  • Demonstrated expertise in vendor management, bid analysis, and contract negotiation
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with meticulous attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to build strong working relationships across project teams
  • RICS accreditation or active progress toward certification (valued)
  • Construction consultancy experience (preferred)
  • In country (UAE) experience is required.
