MEP Quantity Surveyor
- Our client, a highly established fit out firm, delivers turnkey hospitality projects for brands that cannot afford a late handover or an uncontrolled MEP cost. From Palm Jumeirah to Burj Khalifa, our client has carried out work for leading names and groups. As an MEP Quantity Surveyor in Ras-Al-Khaimah, you will own the commercial outcome of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing packages—so design intent becomes a priced, procured, and completed scope without leakage.
Performance Objectives:
- Produce take-offs, bills, and cost plans for MEP packages that let the project team lock a budget before procurement starts.
- Compare subcontractor quotations against measured scope and recommend awards that protect margin and programme.
- Track variations, remeasures, and provisional sums so monthly cost reports show earned value, exposure, and forecast final cost within agreed tolerances.
- Negotiate claims and final accounts to close MEP packages with documented agreement and recovered entitlement.
- Flag design or coordination gaps early enough for the project team to change the package before site cost is locked in.
Environment & Resources:
- You will sit in RAK with project managers, designers, and procurement on live turnkey hotels and apartments. You report to the commercial manager, work from issued drawings and specifications, and use the company’s measurement and cost-reporting tools. Package budgets are set with the project director; you control the commercial file, not the site labour.
Essential
Qualifications:
- Proven MEP quantity surveying on multi-storey hospitality or high-end fit-out, including measurement through final account.
- Fluency in UAE measurement practice, subcontract forms, and variation valuation.
- Ability to read MEP drawings and specifications and convert them into auditable quantities and rates.
- Track record of cost reports that management has used to make award and contingency decisions.
- Clear written English for queries, recommendations, and final-account narratives;
Arabic is an advantage, not a requirement.
