Adjunct Faculty in Architecture (Two Vacancies)

The Department of Architecture and Civil Engineering at the American University of Ras Al Khaimah (AURAK) is seeking to fill adjunct faculty positions from the practice. The successful candidates for this position must have a terminal degree in Architecture (Ph.D.,

D.ARCH, or Master’s). The primary responsibility of this adjunct faculty position is to teach all levels of design studios and other technical and practical courses. The candidate will contribute to incorporating industry collaboration in the dynamic curriculum of the program.

• Teach undergraduate Architecture design studios, focusing on best practices in the field.
• Assist in supervising Graduation Projects.
• Help in developing the curriculum to align with industry needs.
• Maintain professional practice demonstrating engagement with contemporary architectural developments in UAE and the world.
• Contribute to accreditation and continuous improvement activities.

• Master’s degree in architecture from a reputable university or Bachelor of Architecture with demonstrated experience in Design.
• Strong portfolio exhibiting professional practice and creative work.
• Advanced skills in design software (AutoCAD, Revit, BIM, Adobe Suite, etc.).
• Excellent English communication skills—written and spoken.

• Professional licensure or equivalent is preferred.
• Prior teaching or academic experience in the GCC/MENA region.
• Demonstrable history of interdisciplinary teamwork and collaboration.
