Librarian

Overview

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Librarian to join our team at Ras-al-Khaimah. As a Librarian, you will have the opportunity to provide library patrons with excellent service, assist in the development of the library’s collections, and promote programs and activities that will engage the community.

• Maintain the library’s collections, including cataloging and classifying new materials, shelving books and other materials in their proper place, and helping patrons locate items.
• Provide reference services by helping patrons locate information available in print or online resources.
• Develop programming for library patrons of all ages and coordinate volunteers for events.

• Excellent customer service skills and a strong knowledge of library policies and procedures.
• Experience working with computers to manage databases of library collections as well as knowledge of cataloging systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in Library Science or a related field is preferred but not required.
• We are ready to consider foreigners for this position with minimal work experience.
• Salary: 900 AED per month.
