Assistant/Associate Professor in Physics

The School of Arts and Sciences, Department of Mathematics and Physics at the American University of Ras Al Khaimah (AURAK) invites applications for two full-time positions at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor in Physics, beginning in August 2026. We welcome candidates who employ high‑impact educational practices to promote active learning and student engagement. The successful candidate will be required to teach Physics laboratory courses as well as Introductory and General Physics classes.
Demonstrated success in university‑level teaching using innovative pedagogies and experience working effectively with globally diverse student populations are expected.
- A doctoral degree in Physics from an accredited institution of higher education
- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain a productive research program in Physics
- University‑level teaching experience
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
- Commitment to excellence in teaching, including the use of high‑impact educational practices
- Ability and willingness to work collaboratively with faculty across disciplines
