Located in the centre of Ras Al Khaimah city, RAK Academy – Khuzam is a large all-through school offering both primary and secondary education from Pre‑K to Grade 12. The primary phase delivers an adapted UK National Curriculum alongside the IB Primary Years Programme (IBPYP), while the secondary phase offers a dual‑pathway model with the UK curriculum and the International Baccalaureate in the Sixth Form.

We are accredited by the British Schools Overseas (BSO), benchmarked against leading international British schools and are able to fully deliver the ECT induction to teachers.

RAK Academy Khuzam Secondary is looking for a positive, driven and inspirational Chemistry teacher to join a large successful and vibrant Science department. Science is taught as a Core Subject for Grades 6 to 8 to all students incorporating Biology, Chemistry and Physics topics. In Grades 9 and 10 Biology, Chemistry and Physics are offered as IGCSE subject options. All students must study at least one IGCSE science subject as one of their options.

In Grades 11 and 12 Biology, Chemistry and Physics are offered as subject options in both the A‑Level and International Baccalaureate Diploma pathways.

• Hold a bachelor’s degree in science – Chemistry or a related Science Degree.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Have an excellent understanding of teaching and learning.
• Be highly proficient in the use of technology to support teaching and learning.
• Engage, motivate and support students.
• Be a reflective practitioner with the ability to think creatively and innovate.
• Be a positive and enthusiastic member of staff and have a growth mindset.
• Be willing to be fully involved in extra‑curricular activities.
• Have excellent communications skills.
• Experience of teaching GCSE / IGCSE / A‑Level courses (Early Career Teachers are welcome to apply).

• Trained in UK Curriculum or International Baccalaureate.
• Experience of using Google suite, e.g., Google Classroom.
• Have a proven record of increasing student outcomes.
