Job SummaryThe Department of Biotechnology at the School of Arts and Sciences, American University of Ras Al Khaimah (AURAK), seeks to hire a full‑time faculty member for the rank of Assistant Professor. The position commences Fall 2026 (starting August 26). Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics or a related discipline and have previous university‑level teaching experience that incorporates high‑impact educational practices and active learning strategies.
Experience working with globally diverse student populations is expected.

- Teach undergraduate courses related to Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics.
- Hold office hours—one hour per course per week.
- Complete mandatory quality‑assurance requirements at the end of each semester, such as Course DASPA, Program DASPA, Course Files, and Syllabi.
- Participate in Department, School of Arts and Sciences, and University meetings as possible.
- A doctoral degree in Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics or another related discipline from an accredited institution.
- Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) designation accredited by a recognized body or an equivalent DHA qualification.
- Effective oral and written English communication skills.
- Commitment to excellence in teaching, including the use of high‑impact educational practices at the university level.
- Experience working effectively with a diverse student population.
- Ability to collaborate with faculty from a variety of disciplines.
