The American University of Ras Al Khaimah (AURAK) is seeking a motivated, organized, and highly interpersonal Officer – Alumni Engagement and Employability to join its Alumni and Career Services Department.

The role supports the University’s efforts to strengthen alumni engagement, enhance student employability and employment outcomes, and deliver impactful career services programs. The position will build meaningful relationships with alumni, employers, and industry partners while supporting students and graduates in developing career readiness skills, accessing internship and employment opportunities, and building sustainable professional networks.

• Develop and implement alumni engagement initiatives, including events, networking opportunities, career talks, and social activities.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date alumni records and databases and ensure effective communication with alumni.
• Facilitate alumni involvement in university activities, including guest lectures, industry panels, student development activities, networking events, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
• Support the delivery of career development programs, workshops, and activities that enhance students’ career readiness and employability skills.
• Provide guidance and support to students and graduates in CV development, interview preparation, job-search strategies, professional networking, and career planning.
• Coordinate career-related initiatives that connect students and graduates with employers, industry professionals, and employment opportunities.
• Develop initiatives that support alumni access to employment, career advancement, professional development, and lifelong learning opportunities.
• Establish and maintain relationships with alumni employers, industry partners, professional associations, and other external stakeholders.
• Identify and engage potential employers and industry partners to expand internship, placement, graduate employment, and professional networking opportunities.
• Support partnerships and collaborative initiatives that enhance student employability, graduate recruitment, and industry engagement.
