Aircraft Engineer

Al Jazirah Aviation Club, the UAE’s first Light Sport Aviation Club certified by the GCAA, is seeking a qualified FAA‑Licensed Aeronautical or Mechanical Engineer with specialized experience in Diamond DA40 aircraft systems. This role contributes to the safety, compliance, and performance of general aviation in the region.

As an Aeronautical Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the technical integrity, airworthiness compliance, and operational readiness of our DA40 fleet. Your expertise will support the continued excellence of our maintenance operations in line with international aviation standards.

• Provide comprehensive engineering support for the Diamond DA40, including its structural, avionics, and propulsion systems.
• Ensure full compliance with FAA and GCAA airworthiness regulations, especially those applicable to the DA40.
• Conduct performance analysis, reliability assessments, and maintenance planning.
• Serve as the technical liaison with Diamond Aircraft and regulatory authorities.
• Prepare and maintain aircraft technical manuals, service bulletins, and standard maintenance procedures.
• Oversee engineering modifications, repairs, and facilitate Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) approvals as needed.
• Conduct safety risk assessments and participate in continuous improvement of reliability and performance processes.

• Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical, Aerospace, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Valid FAA Aeronautical Engineer certification.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in aviation engineering.
• Direct hands‑on experience with the Diamond DA40 or similar general aviation aircraft.
• Strong familiarity with G1000 avionics, composite airframe structures, and Austro or Lycoming engines.

• Experience working within GCAA regulatory frameworks.
• Familiarity with EASA and/or ICAO aviation regulations.
• Proven ability to prepare engineering documentation, modification packages, and technical reports.

• Deep understanding of aircraft certification, maintenance, and airworthiness procedures.
• Excellent diagnostic, problem‑solving, and technical evaluation abilities.
• Strong communication skills with meticulous attention to technical detail.
