Senior Resident Engineer – High-Rise Buildings

Salary: AED 25,000 - 30,000 per month

We are seeking an experienced Senior Resident Engineer to lead the construction supervision and contract administration of large-scale high-rise building projects on behalf of our Architectural & Engineering Consultancy. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all construction activities are executed in accordance with approved designs, contract specifications, quality standards, regulatory requirements, project schedules, and health & safety regulations.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong consultancy background
, extensive experience in overseeing complex high-rise developments, and proven leadership in managing multidisciplinary supervision teams throughout the project lifecycle.

• Lead and manage all site supervision activities for high-rise residential, commercial, mixed-use, and hospitality developments.
• Act as the Engineer's Representative and primary point of contact between the Client, Contractor, Authorities, and Design Teams.
• Monitor construction progress and ensure compliance with approved drawings, technical specifications, contract requirements, and applicable codes.
• Review construction methodologies, work programs, and resource allocations to achieve project objectives.
• Conduct regular site inspections and ensure adherence to quality assurance and quality control procedures.
• Lead project meetings and provide technical guidance to consultants, contractors, and subcontractors.

• Administer construction contracts in accordance with project conditions and contractual obligations.
• Review and certify contractor's interim payment applications.
• Evaluate variation orders, claims, extension of time requests, and contractual disputes.
• Issue site instructions, non-conformance reports, and technical directives as required.
• Ensure proper documentation and record management throughout the project duration.

• Review and approve shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and technical submissions.
• Coordinate architectural, structural, MEP, façade, and specialist disciplines to ensure design compliance.
• Identify technical risks and propose practical engineering solutions.
• Ensure proper implementation of value engineering initiatives without compromising quality and safety.

• Establish and maintain project quality management procedures.
• Monitor inspection and testing activities across all disciplines.
• Ensure completion of snagging, de-snagging, testing, commissioning, and handover activities.
• Verify that all works meet the required standards before acceptance.

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with Clients, Authorities, Contractors, and Consultants.
• Present technical reports and project updates to senior stakeholders.
• Coordinate with local authorities for inspections, approvals, and handover requirements.

• Ensure contractor compliance with project HSE requirements.
• Monitor site safety performance and recommend corrective actions where necessary.
• Promote a proactive safety culture across the project team.

• Lead and mentor Resident Engineers, Inspectors, Material Engineers, and site supervision staff.
• Allocate responsibilities and monitor team performance.
• Support professional development and knowledge sharing within the supervision team.

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
• Master's Degree in Engineering or Construction Management is preferred.
• Professional Engineer (PE), Chartered Engineer (CEng), PMP, or equivalent certification is highly desirable.
• Membership in a recognized professional institution is preferred.

• Minimum 15+ years of professional experience in construction supervision and project delivery.
• At least 8 years of experience as Resident Engineer or Senior Resident Engineer on high-rise building projects.
