Senior Electrical and Instrumentation Designer

Job Summary:

• We are currently hiring for an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation Designer to join a leading engineering and manufacturing business delivering modular infrastructure projects across the Middle East.
• Working on substations, Remote Instrument Enclosures (RIEs), operator shelters and other modular facilities, you'll be responsible for the design and development of Electrical, Instrumentation, Telecom (EIT) systems. You'll produce high-quality engineering designs while supporting installation, commissioning and troubleshooting activities, ensuring all work complies with relevant regulations, industry standards and engineering best practices.

• Diploma/ITI in Electrical Engineering
• Experience in modular building projects will be considered an added advantage.
• 12+ Years of Relevant experience in similar role
• Strong proficiency in MS Office/AutoCAD/Revit
• Experience in Industrial and Oil & Gas/Petrochemical projects is preferred.
• The candidate should be familiar with sector-specific documentation requirements, applicable standards, and project compliance procedures.

• Drawings (2D/3D as necessary) for various types of projects executed by company.
• Using CAD/REVIT software to produce Electrical, Instrumentation, Telecom plans/sections/elevations and details, ensuring that all layouts are compliant with the latest industry standards and in line with the project specifications.
• Prepare and aid in preparing drawings such as Electrical/Instrument/Telecom (EIT)
• Equipment Layouts, General arrangements, working drawings, Cable schedules, Load
• Schedules, MCT Schedules, cable block diagrams, termination drawings Installation
• Drawings, Shop Drawings, cable tray layouts, cable routing layouts, material Take-os etc.
• with minimal supervision or guidance.
• Preparation of Fire & Gas Detections and Alarm System Layout Drawings/Schematics/ installation details in line with NFPA/EN standards.
• Preparations of Fire Suppressions system layouts / schematics etc.
• Develop and review detailed designs, plans, etc. as necessary for each project.
• Review drawing outputs. This includes conformance of the output with the conceptual project requirements and the technical details with their discipline.
• Working under the guidelines of Lead E&I Engineer on various engineering deliverables (not limited to E-I-T) as required for each project.
• Conducting site visits during various construction stages and preparation of RED LINE markups.
• Preparation of As-Built drawings and documents as required for each project.
• Ensuring close co-ordination with other engineering disciplines in the drawings and documents being prepared.
• Proposing cost effective Designs/Construction methodologies for projects.
• Maintain accurate and organized project documentation, including design changes, correspondence, and project records
• Review drawing outputs. This includes conformance of the output with the conceptual project requirements and the technical details with their discipline.
• Review and verification of constructability of designs and maintainability of installations.
• Review of Client comments on engineering drawings and calculations and evaluating that the comments made are within the contractual scope of work for each project.
• Review and optimize engineering designs to minimize material usage, reduce construction costs, and improve sustainability and profitability.
• Apply ‘Lessons Learned’ from previous projects and that they received from Clients and Sub-Contractors.
• Conduct site/Fabrication yard visits, to ensure that the systems are installed according to design specifications and approved construction drawings.
• Adherence to company policies and keeping confidentiality of all vital design / project information.
