Rakhat Construction is seeking an experienced MEP Engineer with a Mechanical or Electrical Engineering background and proven experience in hospitality projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising MEP works, coordinating with project teams, and ensuring compliance with UAE authority requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and coordinate mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, firefighting, and ELV works on site.
- Review MEP drawings, shop drawings, material submittals, technical documents, and method statements.
- Coordinate MEP services with architectural and structural works to avoid clashes and construction delays.
- Monitor installation, testing, commissioning, and handover of MEP systems.
- Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams to ensure smooth project execution.
- Conduct site inspections and ensure that works comply with approved drawings, specifications, project standards, and safety requirements.
- Coordinate authority submissions, inspections, approvals, and NOCs with relevant authorities, including Dubai Municipality, DEWA, and Dubai Civil Defence, where applicable.[dda.gov][capitalassociated]
- Review and respond to technical queries, RFIs, inspection comments, and site issues.
- Monitor project progress, quality, materials, manpower, and subcontractor performance.
- Prepare daily and weekly progress reports, inspection requests, testing records, and handover documentation.
- Support the preparation of operation and maintenance manuals, as-built drawings, warranties, and commissioning records.
- Ensure MEP systems meet hospitality standards, client requirements, and operational needs.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
. - Minimum 5 years of MEP construction experience
, preferably in the UAE. - Proven experience in hotels, resorts, hospitality projects, or high-rise buildings
. - Strong knowledge of MEP installation, testing, commissioning, and handover procedures.
- Experience coordinating with UAE authorities and managing approval requirements.
- Good knowledge of relevant UAE regulations, international codes, and project specifications.
- Ability to read and interpret MEP, architectural, structural, and shop drawings.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office; knowledge of Revit or Navisworks is an advantage.
- Strong coordination, communication, problem-solving, and reporting skills.
