The Senior Design Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Ras al-Khaimah, United Arab Emirates, responsible for leading design and engineering activities for modular bathroom PODs and facade systems. The role includes developing detailed engineering designs, preparing and reviewing CAD models and drawings, and ensuring alignment with project specifications, building codes, and safety standards. The Senior Design Engineer collaborates closely with cross-functional teams, including production, quality, project management, and suppliers, to optimize manufacturability, cost, and performance.
Daily responsibilities involve conducting technical analyses, validating designs through calculations and simulations, supporting design reviews, and resolving design-related issues during fabrication and installation. The role also contributes to continuous improvement initiatives by refining design guidelines, standardizing components, and introducing innovative engineering solutions.
- Candidates should possess strong Design Engineering and Product Design skills, with experience in translating project requirements into practical, manufacturable solutions.
- Candidates should possess solid Mechanical Engineering expertise, including structural analysis, materials selection, and understanding of building systems.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Solid Works, Revit or similar) for 2D/3D modeling, detailing, and documentation.
- Candidates should possess relevant Electrical Engineering knowledge for building services coordination and integration within modular systems.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Design Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Experience in modular construction, facades, bathrooms, or off-site manufacturing environments is highly beneficial.
- Strong understanding of applicable building codes, standards, and quality management practices.
- Ability to lead engineering projects, manage timelines, and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent technical communication skills, attention to detail, and a continuous improvement mindset.
