Scrum Master

The Scrum Master (RAK Digital) is accountable for establishing Agile development methodology and for improving the effectiveness of the Agile Team delivering RAK Digital product outcomes. The role is a servant‑leader and coach, responsible for ensuring that Agile development is understood and enacted correctly, that Agile events are purposeful and timeboxed, and that the team continuously improves its ability to deliver valuable, usable increments in a predictable cadence.

RAK Digital is a government‑wide digital services platform with a complex stakeholder environment, multi‑department dependencies, and a strong governance and assurance requirement. The Scrum Master must operate effectively across Product, Delivery (PMO), Technology, QA, and Government stakeholders, ensuring that cross‑team handoffs, release gates, and UAT readiness are managed through disciplined, transparent mechanisms rather than ad‑hoc coordination.

The role requires a Scrum Master who can run a high‑discipline Agile delivery environment in a regulated public‑sector context: shaping team ways of working, protecting focus, enabling self‑management, and removing organisational impediments. The Scrum Master must support delivery across a mixed model that includes internal teams and external vendors and must ensure that delivery remains aligned to agreed scope, Definition of Done, quality gates, and release governance.

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required.
• Professional Scrum Master certification (PSM I as a minimum expectation) or equivalent Scrum Master certification is strongly preferred.
• Advanced Scrum Master / Agile coaching certifications (PSM II/III, SAFe, LeSS, or equivalent) are advantageous, particularly where multiple teams and complex dependencies are in scope.

• 8 to 12 years of experience in technology delivery environments, with at least 3 years performing in a dedicated Scrum Master role for Agile delivery teams.
• Demonstrated experience facilitating Agile events and coaching teams to improve delivery predictability, quality outcomes, and collaboration.
• Proven experience removing organisational impediments and enabling delivery in complex environments with multiple stakeholders and external dependencies.
• Experience delivering digital platforms or large‑scale service ecosystems is advantageous, particularly where integration, UAT governance, and release control are critical.
• Government, public sector, or regulated environment experience is an advantage; GCC regional experience is a further plus.
