About the Position
Wynn Al Marjan Island is currently seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join the IT Systems Architecture Design amp Development team.
Responsibilities- Design develop and optimize ETL ELT pipelines using SQL Python Snowflake and Airflow
- Build scalable batch incremental real-time and CDC-based data ingestion solutions
- Develop and maintain data warehouses and dimensional models for analytics and reporting
- Create and manage Airflow DAGs for workflow orchestration scheduling and monitoring
- Optimize Snowflake data models query performance and data loading processes
- Translate business requirements into scalable and reliable data engineering solutions
- Enhance data platform performance reliability scalability and cost efficiency
- Produce technical documentation and support analytics teams with high-quality data assets
- 5-7 years of hands-on experience in data engineering, with strong expertise in SQL, Python, ETL/ELT development, and data pipeline automation
- Proven experience designing and optimizing data warehouses, dimensional models, and analytics-ready data structures
- Strong knowledge of batch, incremental, CDC, and merge/upsert data loading strategies, with experience handling structured and semi-structured data
- Advanced experience with Snowflake, including data modeling, data loading, query optimization, security, and warehouse management
- Hands-on experience with Apache Airflow for workflow orchestration, DAG development, scheduling, monitoring, and dependency management
- Bachelor s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field; relevant certifications such as Snow Pro Core, Databricks Data Engineer Professional, or Azure Data Engineer Associate are preferred
- Strong communication skills in English and the ability to design, deploy, and support scalable data solutions in an office-based environment
