About Wynn Al Marjan Island:

Wynn Al Marjan Island will be the first integrated resort in the UAE. Set to open in 2027, the resort will be located 50 miles from Dubai International Airport in the emirate of Ras Al Khaimah. The resort will offer 1,530 rooms and suites, 22 restaurants, lounges, and bars, a theater, and a beach club. It will feature multiple swimming and wading pools, a five-star spa, a salon, a shopping promenade, and a celebrations and events center.

About The Position

Wynn Al Marjan Island is currently seeking a Show Operator Assistant Automation - Theater Operations to join the resort’s Theater Operations team.

Responsibilities

The primary duties and responsibilities of this role are:

• Assist the Head Automation – Theater Operations with supervising the department staff and with hiring and training new employees .
• Assist with managing and documenting all required staff training.
• Assist with staff scheduling and timekeeping.
• Assist with ordering supplies and with keeping an inventory of all consumables.
• Assist the Head of Department with establishing and maintaining the safe and consistent operations of all automation and Comms systems for each rehearsal and performance.
• Assist with operating the automated stage systems, and fluid hydraulic systems by programming and operating the Comms consoles.
• Assist with the operations of and troubleshooting of the automation and Comms systems during performances and rehearsals.
• Assist with installing, assembling, hanging, and repairing automation mechanisms and automated show elements.
• Assist with creating an atmosphere that maximizes productivity and minimizes costs.
• Work with the Resident Director on required changes and ongoing development of the show.
• Reprogram automation systems as required.
• Support the performers at all times by assisting and guiding their interaction with all show elements and technical staff.
• Provide cost effective solutions to automation and Comms issues that maintain show quality and maximize return on investment.
• Assist in maintaining training and backup plans to assure continuity in performance operations of the department.
• Assist with monitoring all automation and Comms systems and provide adequate oversight and supervision to maintain a safe environment.
• Assist with overseeing the emergency procedures for show systems with Stage Management and the technical team; ensure all department staff is trained and familiar with these procedures.

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of five (5) years’ experience as an Assistant Head of Automation for large-scale theatrical or production show.
• Experience with a wide variety of modern theatrical automation and Comms systems as it pertains to installation, use and troubleshooting.
• Experience with a wide variety of modern fluid power equipment such as hydraulic valves, and pumps as it pertains to installation, use and troubleshooting.
• Experience with flying effects with artists and theatrical rigging.
• Experience with electronics, conduit, battery packs, wire terminals, sensors, networks and Comms boards.
• Experience and knowledge of automation, fluid systems & hardware.
• Prior experience working with Navigator preferred.
• Must be able to manage staff and perform under pressure as well as manage logistics.
