Position OverviewThe Production Operator III reports to the Production Manager/Supervisor and is responsible for operating equipment and all affiliated processes, including preparing raw materials and packaging, unloading, packing, and labeling, in compliance with legal and company rules.
Primary Responsibilities- Preparation of raw materials and packaging: review labels on raw material to ensure correct weight, type, and lot/batch number before charging raw materials into mixers and carry out operation processes following all production parameters.
- Operating equipment: verify and load raw materials in line with process instructions and procedures, take samples, unload and pack. Document process figures and results (traceability and legal requirement).
- Perform quality control of products from reactors and mixers, perform necessary adjustments according to existing procedures, and report them to the Production Manager/Supervisor.
- Ensure production follows work instructions issued for the produced item to guarantee proper operating conditions.
- Carry out all operations in compliance with the Quality and Operating procedures of H.B. Fuller and reinforce those rules with peers.
- Ensure initial testing and release of products is completed and that there are no deviations from specifications.
- Ensure the finished product has perfect visual appearance to the required standard.
- Package the final product according to the instructions and ensure it meets HBF’s standard quality level.
- Report any mistakes in labels and take proper action to correct them, maintaining zero mistakes in the finished product.
- Maintain high quality expectations regarding all operations and packaging of the final product and encourage peers to do likewise.
- Maintain machinery and work areas in a clean and proper condition.
- Maintain own training documentation.
- Implement and comply with all legal and company EHS policies and procedures, reporting any deviation from safety instructions to ensure a secure working environment.
- Basic educational degree or high school diploma or general education diploma.
- 3+ years’ experience as Production Operator II or 5+ years experience in an industrial environment.
- Knowledge of common software programs (MS Office).
- Ability to read and understand work orders, production process, safety regulations, and quality procedures and instructions.
- Availability to work in shifts.
