Position Overview

Industrial Maintenance Technician in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE who reports to the Maintenance Supervisor. The role maintains equipment and infrastructure to ensure optimal production conditions and performs preventive and predictive maintenance tasks.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Ensure implementation of all maintenance policies, SOPs, and procedures.
  • Perform preventive maintenance services on equipment in production plants, utilities, air‑conditioning systems, and FF & FA systems following the supervisor‑planned schedule.
  • Operate and maintain utilities such as chillers, air‑handling units, air compressors, etc.
  • Support operators with specific work as needed.
  • Assist with machine changeovers as required.
  • Respond to repairs on all shifts.
  • Inspect equipment or infrastructure for problems, diagnose, estimate repair times, and organize work.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, or pneumatic assemblies per diagrams, sketches, operational manuals, and manufacturer specifications.
  • Maintain pumps, blowers, vessels, piping systems, conveyor belts and other mechanical equipment.
  • Maintain material‑handling equipment, including hand pallet trucks, forklifts, stackers, and drum lifters.
  • Troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, and instrumentation.
  • Read P&IDs for processes and utilities.
  • Understand interlocking logic of equipment or systems.
  • Work on electrical utilities such as PCC, MCC, metering kiosks, and breakers.
  • Analyze repetitive breakdowns, identify root causes, and plan elimination.
  • Coordinate with vendors for maintenance jobs.
  • Report required spares to the supervisor or manager.
  • Implement corrective actions for audit points.
  • Support factory pest‑control plan and related activities.
  • Follow 5S, ISO and other cleanliness/policy procedures.
  • Maintain machinery for optimum availability, maximum uptime, efficiency and capacity utilization.
  • Record electricity, water and diesel consumption readings.
  • Maintain shop floor discipline and resource efficiency.
  • Use work‑to‑permit and LOTOTO systems.
  • Document maintenance repairs: service reports, water‑meter checks, technical records (drawings, manuals, preventive‑maintenance checklists, shift logbooks, daily checklists, calibration plans, AMC plans, history cards).
  • Perform all operations in compliance with legal and company EHS, storage, and housekeeping policies.
Minimum Requirements
  • ITI (Electrician / Mechanical) 2‑year full‑time course or full‑time diploma in Electrical, Mechanical or Instrumentation Engineering.
  • 5–7 years of experience in maintenance and utilities.
  • Knowledge of Permit‑to‑Work system.
  • Ability to analyze and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical issues.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical circuit drawings for PCC, MCC and utilities.
  • Availability to work on call whenever required, including shifts.
  • Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
  • Working knowledge of computer applications (MS Office suite, internet).
  • Skills in mechanics: pumps, gearboxes, machinery repair.
  • Understanding of instrumentation and calibration procedures.
  • Strong analytical and diagnostic skills and willingness to improve systems and adapt to new technologies.
  • Preferred:
    Candidates from Chemical Industry.
  • Ability to respond to demands and make decisions quickly.
  • Team‑oriented and able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
Physical Environment
  • Handling some corrosive chemicals or working with critical devices.
  • Exposure to hazard conditions such as high temperatures, projections, and chemical vapours.
  • Required use of PPE (personal protective equipment).
