- Oversee daily rubber production operations ensuring adherence to schedules, quality standards and safety protocols
- Manage and motivate a team of production operators providing clear direction, training and performance feedback
- Implement and enforce strict quality control measures throughout the rubber manufacturing process from raw material inspection to finished product testing
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues identifying root causes and implementing effective corrective actions to minimize downtime
- Optimize production workflows and resource allocation to enhance efficiency, reduce waste and meet output targets
- Monitor machine performance and conduct regular preventative maintenance checks to ensure operational integrity and longevity
- Analyze production data and generate reports on key performance indicators to drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Manage inventory of raw materials and finished goods ensuring adequate stock levels and accurate record-keeping
- Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to implement process improvements and new product introductions
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in rubber manufacturing or a related polymer processing industry.
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science, Manufacturing Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a production environment.
- Strong understanding of rubber compounding, molding techniques (injection, compression, transfer), extrusion, and curing processes.
- Certification in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or relevant quality management systems is highly advantageous.
- Excellent knowledge of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations specific to chemical and manufacturing industries.
- Proficiency in using manufacturing execution systems (MES) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) software.
- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
