The Structural Inspector is responsible for ensuring that all building construction projects meet the specified quality standards, codes and regulations. The inspector will conduct thorough assessments, inspections and evaluations of building materials, workmanship and structural designs to ensure compliance with project specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct inspections of construction activities, materials and processes to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Review project plans, specifications and contracts to understand project requirements.
  • Perform tests on materials such as concrete and steel to evaluate structural integrity and quality.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, test results and non-conformance reports.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers and contractors to address quality issues and ensure corrective actions are taken.
  • Interpret and enforce building codes, regulations and safety standards.
  • Participate in site meetings to discuss quality control issues and resolutions.
  • Monitor workmanship and adherence to project timelines.
  • Provide reports and documentation to project managers and quality assurance teams.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Certification as a Quality Control Inspector (e.g., AWS, ACI) is preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in construction quality control, specifically in structural inspection.
  • Experience in healthcare projects such as hospitals, clinics or laboratories is a plus.
  • Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in using inspection tools and software.
