Job Description / Role:
We are seeking an Outlet Cashier to handle all cash transactions accurately and efficiently at our establishment. The Outlet Cashier will be responsible for processing payments, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
The position is based at The Cove Rotana.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle cash transactions with customers using cash registers
- Scan goods and collect payments
- Issue receipts, refunds, change or tickets
- Redeem stamps and coupons
- Resolve customer complaints, guide them and provide relevant information
- Greet customers when entering or leaving the establishment
- Maintain clean and tidy checkout areas
- Keep reports of transactions
- Bag, box or wrap packages
- Pleasantly deal with customers to ensure satisfaction
Experience
Required:
Proven work experience as a Retail Cashier or similar role in a customer service environment
Education
Qualifications:
High school degree
Skills Required:
- Basic PC knowledge and familiarity with electronic equipment (e.g. cash register, scanners, money counters)
- Strong communication and time management skills
- Customer satisfaction-oriented
- Attention to detail and mathematical skills
- Strong numerical skills and ability to handle cash transactions accurately
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Integrity and honesty in handling customer transactions and sensitive financial information
- Multitasking abilities to handle multiple customers and transactions simultaneously
