Import​/Export Logistic Specialist

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and track shipments of goods for import and export.
• Ensure that all necessary documents and permits are obtained and filed correctly.
• Communicate with suppliers, clients, and service providers to ensure the safe and timely delivery of goods.
• Monitor shipments for compliance with regulations and international trade laws.
• Create and manage schedules and timelines for shipments.
• Negotiate rates and contracts with transportation and shipping companies.
• Determine the most efficient transportation routes and methods.
• Resolve any issues or delays that arise in the shipment process.
• Keep up-to-date with changes in regulations and trade agreements.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of all shipments and transactions.
• Prepare FIRS for clearance of food ingredient shipments from Dubai Municipality.
• Obtain EPDA permits for clearance and customs purposes.
• Create export documents for all export shipments, including GCC Certificate of Origin, Arab League Certificate of Origin, Chamber of Commerce Certificate of Origin, and MAERSEL 1 and MAERSEL 2 system documentation.

• Bachelor of Commerce (BCom), Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), or Master of Business Administration (MBA) and an import/export diploma.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to develop relationships with customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong teamwork and independent working ability.
• Capacity to handle large amounts of information quickly and accurately.
