The Role:
A leading FMCG manufacturing company is currently seeking an experienced and established Control Systems Engineer to join the business during an impressive period of growth and expansion. As a result of increased production demand and continued investment in automation, this role has been created to strengthen the sites controls and continuous improvement capability. The successful Control Systems Engineer will play a key role in maintaining, improving, and developing control systems across a highly automated manufacturing environment.
This position will suit a technically strong engineer with a solid understanding of continuous improvement (CI), automation reliability, and hands-on electrical troubleshooting.
Key Responsibilities:
The Control Systems Engineer will be responsible for:
Providing technical support for control systems across production and packaging operations Programming, fault-finding, and modifying PLC systems Diagnosing and resolving complex electrical and automation faults Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to improve system reliability and performance Working with Allen Bradley and Siemens PLC platforms Assisting with automation upgrades, system improvements, and capital projects Supporting commissioning and installation of new machinery and control systems Creating and maintaining technical documentation and standards Working closely with engineering, maintenance, and operations teams About the Candidate:
The ideal Control Systems Engineer will demonstrate:
Proven experience working as a Control Systems Engineer within FMCG or manufacturing Strong knowledge of electrical troubleshooting and automation systems
Experience with Allen Bradley and Siemens PLCs (essential) A clear understanding of continuous improvement methodologies
Experience with in fast-paced, highly automated manufacturing environments Strong problem-solving and communication skills Recognised engineering or electrical qualifications Interested in applying?
