Units available may include Med/Surg, Float Pool, Step Down, and ICU/Day shift - 7a-7p, Night Shift 7p-7a

• The Patient Care Nursing Associate (PCNA) completes patient care activities as delegated by the RN.
• PCAs perform duties including, but not limited to, ADLs, vital signs, I and Os, 12 lead ECG, bladder scan, hygiene and venipuncture where applicable.
• Familiarity with using wheelchairs, EKG equipment, patient assistive devices, and patient care equipment specific to assigned population.
• Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills both written and verbal, as well as, exhibiting strong organizational skills and work ethic.
• Demonstrates a professional demeanor when responding to patients and customers.
• Basic computer data entry skills.

• Experience in a large teaching hospital preferred.
• One year job stability preferred.
• High School Equivalent / GED.
• BLS certification, issued by the American Heart Association, must be obtained during UH Orientation.
