Join Our TeamThe Rawlins Police Department is looking for individuals with prior emergency communications experience to work in our Communications Center on a temporary part-time basis. Working an average of not more than 30 hours per week.
We will offer a competitive wage for the qualified candidate.
This position is temporary and will not offer overtime or benefits.
Job Duties- Provide support to public safety by analyzing and transmitting appropriate information to law enforcement, fire, ambulance, and other personnel.
- Answer 911 and non-emergent lines and dispatch appropriate agency.
- Record calls and activities.
- Maintain records of cases and activities.
- Maintain confidential information.
- Interview callers to determine their needs.
- Operate NCIC/NLETS computer terminal and auxiliary equipment, pagers, computers, and a wide variety of office equipment.
- Provide general assistance to the public in preparing complaints and reports and providing information.
- Respond to emergency and non-emergency situations.
- Prior experience is required.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- High school diploma or evidence of an equivalent achievement.
- U.S. citizen.
- Strong moral character.
- No felony or domestic violence convictions.
