Local Education are recruiting confident, reliable individuals to work in secondary schools across South Essex, Chelmsford and East London as Cover Supervisors and Classroom Support staff.

No teaching qualification required.

If you have experience in:

* Customer service

* Coaching or sports

* Youth work

* Care work

* Hospitality

* Management

* The Armed Forces

* Or any role involving leadership or responsibility

What is a Cover Supervisor?

You will supervise pre-set lessons in secondary schools when teachers are absent. You are not expected to plan or mark work — your role is to manage behaviour, maintain structure and ensure pupils stay on task.

We provide:

Pay Rates (Increased for 2026)

From £89 – £115 per day (PAYE) depending on experience

Higher rates available for experienced candidates
