About the Role

As the Year 5/6 Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and creative lessons that support pupils during this important stage of Key Stage 2. You will help children continue building confidence in literacy, numeracy, and independent learning while preparing them for the transition into secondary education. The school is looking for a teacher who can create a calm, inclusive, and inspiring classroom environment where every child feels encouraged to achieve their best.

You’ll Be Doing
  • Planning and delivering engaging lessons in line with the KS2 curriculum
  • Supporting pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development
  • Creating a positive and stimulating classroom environment
  • Monitoring and assessing pupil progress
  • Working collaboratively with teaching assistants and colleagues
  • Building positive relationships with pupils, parents, and staff
  • Contributing to the wider school community
What We’re Looking For
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching within KS2, ideally Year 5/6
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • A nurturing, positive, and adaptable teaching style
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • A genuine passion for primary education and helping children succeed
