Mechanical Estimator
Location:
Essex
Salary: £75K - £80K + Package
The Role:
* Preparing accurate cost estimates for mechanical building services projects.
* Reviewing drawings, specifications and tender documentation to determine project scope.
* Producing detailed take-offs for HVAC, plumbing and mechanical systems.
* Preparing competitive tender submissions and supporting documentation.
* Working closely with Directors, Project Managers and Clients throughout the pre-construction phase.
* Identifying value engineering opportunities and potential project risks.
* Managing multiple tenders whilst ensuring deadlines are met.
* Working on projects with values up to £2m.
* Full-time office-based role.
* Working hours of 08:00 – 16:30.

* Team of approximately 15 office-based staff, supported by a network of contractors and consultants.
* Delivering mechanical and electrical projects throughout London and the South East.
* Looking to strengthen their estimating team following continued growth.
* Flexible on employment status, with permanent or consultancy arrangements available.
The Ideal Candidate :
* Will have 3+ years' experience working as a Mechanical Estimator.
* Strong mechanical bias with experience in HVAC, plumbing and building services projects.
* M&E Estimators will also be considered.
* Will have experience pricing projects up to £2m in value.
* Will be able to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
* Will have strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
* Will be proficient in Microsoft Excel and estimating software.
* Will work well under pressure and be capable of managing multiple tenders simultaneously.
* Will have excellent communication and organisational skills.
* Will be happy working in a full-time office-based environment.
